Interparking Italia announces the acquisition of two key parking facilities in Bari

29/05/2024

As of last week, the Venetian parking company, Interparking Italia, a subsidiary of the Belgian group Interparking S.A./N.V., has become the sole owner of the newly established management company "Interparking Bari Srl".

This new entity will operate the underground car parks in Piazza Giulio Cesare and Piazza Cesare Battisti, under a public concession.

The Giulio Cesare car park, built under the homonymous square, consists of three underground floors, offering 771 parking spaces. Conveniently located opposite the main entrance of the prestigious Policlinico di Bari health district, which also houses the university's medical complex, this underground facility features two entrances that provide easy access to the hospital and the city center.

The Piazza Cesare Battisti car park is strategically situated in the heart of Bari's Murat district, just 300 meters from the city's main pedestrian areas. Its prime location offers immediate access to the University of Bari and the Faculty of Law. This technologically advanced, fully underground car park offers 699 parking spaces across three levels, providing various services tailored for both subscribers and occasional users. Davide Fornasiero, Managing Director of Interparking Italia: "We are excited to be able to manage two prestigious parking facilities in one of the most important and wonderful cities in Italy.

With this important acquisition, the development of our company continues, which already has important structures in the field of tourism, city centers  and hospitals. We are strongly motivated to guarantee our users a quality service at the level of the most important European parking facilities".

Roland Cracco, CEO of Interparking, stated: "Acquiring these key operations in Bari underscores our strategic vision for growth and innovation in Italy where we are already present in 101 cities with 22,154 off-street spaces and 84,723 on-street spaces. We are dedicated to providing high-quality parking solutions that enhance the urban experience for residents and visitors alike. The facilities in Bari are a perfect addition to our expanding portfolio, reflecting our focus on ESG principles.”
