Interparking opens parking garage on Scheveningen Beach


According to Rolf Oostendorp, CEO of Interparking Nederland, there future of Scheveningen is looking bright. “With this environmentally and customer-friendly parking facility, we offer visitors to the beach, boulevard and other attractions in Scheveningen a first-class entrance.”

High-end redevelopment
Parking garage Boulevard is part of the redevelopment of the northern part of the Scheveningen boulevard. The Municipality of The Hague is also rolling out the De Kust Gezond (A Healthy Coast) programme, the main objective of which is to improve the quality of the outlying area. The new layout of the beach pavilions results in a better view of the sea and creates wider entrances to the beach. With this large-scale redevelopment, the new boulevard forms the starting point for a continuous walking route from the Zwarte Pad via the Morales boulevard to the port of Scheveningen. The facilities and activity they generate, present themselves immediately to the visitor.

Customer- and environmentally-friendly facility
After parking garage Markthal in Rotterdam, Museumkwartier in The Hague and IJDock in Amsterdam, Interparking is opening another high-end parking facility. The column-free design with one-way system, wide parking spaces and wide lanes provides optimal convenience for users. The facility is also finished to a high standard and equipped with the latest technology. The parking garage is covered with 240 solar panels and can provide in up to 75 electric charging stations in terms of power supply. The parking guidance system allows users to find a free space on the right floor via the shortest possible route and can easily find their car again thanks to the licence plate recognition system.
