From fuel to electric at Grand-Place car park
This new display offers an original perspective on the evolution of mobility, tracing the journey from early fossil fuel infrastructure to modern electric solutions.

Visitors will encounter historic Shell and Fina fuel pumps alongside the latest electric vehicle charging stations. The showcase also highlights the preservation efforts of the Fund for Automotive and Motorcycle Heritage (FSA), overseen by the King Baudouin Foundation, which is committed to safeguarding Belgium’s automotive history.
Shell Belgium donated these pumps to the FSA over twenty years ago, joining a network of patrons dedicated to preserving and promoting automotive heritage.

The inauguration brought together Jacques Deneef, President of the FSA, Mélanie Coisne, Head of the Heritage & Culture Programme at the King Baudouin Foundation, and Roland Cracco, CEO of Interparking, accompanied by many guests.
By bridging industrial heritage and sustainable mobility, the exhibition demonstrates how everyday spaces can become places of cultural transmission.

Accessible directly from inside the Grand-Place car park, it can be freely visited by all users and city centre visitors.
